Filmed on 04/20/07 - Eugene, OR - Coach Tyson discusses his feelings on what high school coaches bring to the table when transitioning to the college level.

The newly appointed South Eugene high school Head Track and Field coach has been a long time fixture in the sport of running, especially in the Northwest. Tyson ran at the University of Oregon during the glory days of Bowerman and Dellinger. A top athlete on the team himself he also roomed with a guy people called "pre." He had a long established coaching career at Mead high school in Spokane, WA where his teams were constantly ranked as the best in the entire country. He has also coached at the college level at U of O and the University of Kentucky.
