Filmed on 3/15/07 - Eugene, OR - Max King talks about his unconventional transition from college to professional running after a workout at Hayward Field in Eugene, OR.

Max King had a respectable career at Cornell University that was highlighted by an All-American finish in the 2002 NCAA Division I steeplechase, however after experimenting with triathlons and adventure racing directly after college, King has rose to a new level on the national scene excelling in any race where guts are required. He resides in Bend and Eugene throughout the year training with the Oregon Track Club Elite team under coaches Frank Gagliano and Mike Manley where he hopes to continue to lower his personal best in the steeplechase (8:31).
