Wednesday 6/18- 41 min....nothing really went as planned today, so no double, real short run also so I could get some stuff done. I ran down to Hendrick's and did two long climbs up the gravel path by Summit Drive and up into the nursery, so at least I got some hill work in as well. I'm hoping I will be more likely to get a quality run in tomorrow night in North Carolina since I didn't go very long today. My legs felt much better today and continuing to get more fit. 6 miles

Tuesday 6/17- 65 min (15 min w/u, MINUTES- 4, 4, 4, 4 - 18 min w/d), 6 strides (felt pretty fast actually), BIG 15.....legs felt a LITTLE better today, I felt overall pretty good throughout the workout, like I was moving at a good clip really, stopped by South Eugene track for some strides, and the BIG 15 was hard tonight. It was a good day for training. I'll probably do a double tomorrow. 10 miles

Monday 6/16- 53 min, Big 15, Titan Ten+.......my legs were definitely not feeling superb tonight after yesterday, but I powered through and it wasn't so bad towards the end of the run. My legs felt worse when I got done however, but just after 8 minutes of elevating them they feel much better. I probably need to start to slow down a little on these recovery days. Ok, time for food! 8 miles

Week of 6/9-6/15- 62.5 miles

Sunday 6/15- 102 minutes......I headed out planning to run 95 minutes, but got out there and wanted to do just a tad bit more. I did the same loop as tuesday, I went from my place to a big loop around Alton Baker, over to Hendrick's, but did 4 treks up Summit Drive and into the park and down, then ran out to South Eugene and then out to campus to drive my car back hom from where it was parked. I got real out of it after this run, but I made sure to elevate my legs and I drank some Endurox and Glucose with some glutamine and I think that helped a lot. I again was cruising along really well during this run. I'm going to be in good shape if I can get 5 or 6 more of these in before Steens. I might even make an attempt at the Siltcoos Lake trail record than Chris Johnson and I own of 6 loops (2 hour TOUGH run) and try to make it seven loops. 15 miles

Saturday 6/14- OFF.....got really busy today, plus I think a day off was needed. My legs have been feeling really heavy.

Friday 6/13- 57 min (15 min warm-up, MINUTES- 3, 3, 3, 3 -18 min warm-down), 6 strides, BIG 15 (119 push-ups, 119 sit-ups)........I again felt horrible starting off this run and the workout was tough, first in about 3 months. I found Jeff Sather out on the trail towards the end of my workout. I went from my place out into Alton Baker, out to the finger and back to the warm-up track at Hayward. This is going to be a good week, a hard week, but a good one. I was thinking and I don't think I had run more than 20-30 miles a week since February and this is looking to be at least 60. 8.5 miles

Thusday 6/12- 60 min, BIG 14 (105 push-ups, 105 sit-ups)......I met Jane and Shane for a run this morning. It was rough. I could just feel the work in my legs from this week, that I know I wasn't quite ready for. I have also felt DEAD all day. I think this is not only from the heavier workload, but from the fact I was trying to be a lot more strict with my diet. I had to go get a hamburger at East 19th street tonight to try to feel a little better. I thought about doing another run this afternoon, but my legs needed some more rest. 8.5 miles

Wednesday 6/11- AM- 40 min.....ran with Elinor this morning. We went to Hendrick's and did three treks up Summit Drive into Hendrick's park with a warm-up and warm-down run. It was really good. Legs felt pretty dead from the night before. 4 miles

PM- 45 min, 4 strides, Big 13......ran with Ross from my place out to rexius and back to South Eugene track. I felt sooo tired and hungry. I'm trying to lose a little weight, so being really strict with what I'm eating. I tried to do strides and it was real tough. Got through the big 13 in ok shape, ran back to my place then the office and back. Tonight I went to dinner with Jane and Shane and Jane's family......Jane called me fat so I may have to make my diet even more strict. 6.5 miles

Tuesday 6/10- 90 min, Big 13, Titan Ten+......not sure where this came from today. I went out intending to do a long run of around 75-80 minutes, but once I was about 50 minutes into the run I got really motivated and was feeling really good. I went from my place out to a big loop around Alton Baker to Hendrick's park where I did three runs up Summit Drive and into the park and then ran out to S. Eugene and back to my place. This gives me some hope I'm getting back into shape and more motivation to start getting on it even more. I ran this whole run at a good clip....probably between 6:30-6:40's. 13.5 miles

Monday 6/9- 45 min, Big 13 (91 push-ups, 91 crunches), Titan Ten+.......pretty standard day, ran a small loop in Alton Baker from my house, was definitely really tired, didn't eat much yesterday at all and felt really hungry today. 6.5 miles
